The Clearwater Jazz & Art Festival is a collaborative expression of music and art!
It brings together many of the area's finest jazz musicians and visual artists to create a day that celebrates the arts within our community.
Join us as we present this 3rd annual EPIC event at the
Brewing Projekt on August 26th Noon-10pm!
VENUE
The Brewing Projekt — Since opening its
taproom in April 2015, their official motto has
been “Stubbornly Crafted Beer from Eau Claire,
Wisconsin.” It’s a gathering place for friends,
families, and strangers who are on the hunt for
fresh, interesting, and innovative beers. The
taproom is family friendly. We appreciate
and thank them for hosting this event.

American jazz classics in this local duo.
Cathy Herndon — Prolific singer/songwriter and a
former member of the acclaimed youth group Kids
from Wisconsin, Cathy has a crystal-clear voice
and a refined touch at the piano.
Cathy Reitz & 7Swing — Features vocals with a
brassy 7-piece jazz band that performs music from
the Swing Era and the Great American Songbook,
bringing the “Roaring 20s” to the 2020s.
FLOWt — Established in 2019 when musician
Sue Orfield and painter Terry Meyer combined
their energy, flow, and dynamic skills in a live
collaboration of music and visual art.
Josh Gallagher — Piano prodigy Josh Gallagher is
a mainstay in the Chippewa Valley and Twin Cities
music scene.
Jeremy Boettcher — an award-winning
bassist, frequently performs with top artists
around the globe.
Memorial High School Jazz Combo — Directed
by Dominic Domeyer, this outstanding, local jazz
program forges talented students every year.
Sweater People — A contemporary, experimental, and improvisatory musical quartet, comprised of Hans Fuerst (keys), Will DeBlaey (bass), and North Skager (drums).
Sarah Ohr — Eau Claire based harpist. Ohr enjoys playing popular music and also enjoys exploring the unique sounds of the harp by pairing it with effects pedals.
Mélange — Featuring Maggie Sills (vocals), Valerie
Evans (vocals), and Emily Watkins (guitar & vocals).
Tyler Lustek Confluence — Led by pianist,
composer & educator Tyler Lustek, the Tyler
Lustek Confluence reimagines the progressive
possibilities of music while always keeping one
foot firmly planted in the jazz tradition.
Val Evans & Will DeBlaey — Jazz vocalist &
guitarist Valerie Evans performs with bassist Will
DeBlaey in this engaging and unique duet.
Weapons of Brass Destruction — Back in 2014,
trombonist Tom Carlson started WBD with funky
R&B, afro, and mambo grooves. Permanent
members include Phil Huebner (tuba), Jay Collins
(bari sax), Levi Felling & John LeBrun (skins), Stuart
Wallace & Pat Hull (high end), Jeff Reitz (tenor/
clarinet/flute), and Jennifer Hazen (lead vocals).
Paul Hecht — Pianist, composer, and writer based
in Eau Claire and Chicago, IL. His second book
was published in 2022. A recording featuring his
compositions is due out later this year.
Tim Davis — An up and coming Pianist born and raised in Eau Claire.
